Brian Baker

Brian graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana and walked on to the football team during his freshman year at Notre Dame. He appeared in games for Coach Lou Holtz’s 1992, 1993 and 1994 teams, earning a Monogram following his senior season. He graduated with a degree in Accountancy in May of 1995.

Brian is a Managing Director in Stout’s Investment Banking group. He has over 25 years of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and both private and public securities offerings. His transaction experience includes representing private and public companies in domestic and international transactions involving a number of industries, such as agribusiness, business services, utility services, industrial services, and industrial and medical manufacturing.

Prior to Stout, Brian was a Managing Director at Cowen and also previously served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance at City Securities Corporation, where he advised clients ranging from family-owned companies to multinational, publicly held corporations on domestic and cross-border merger, acquisition and recapitalization transactions involving companies based in the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia. Prior to City Securities, he practiced as an attorney with the law firm of Krieg DeVault LLP in the areas of corporate transactional law, tax law and securities law. Prior to Krieg DeVault, Brian practiced as a certified public accountant with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
