Over the course of his career, Jeremy has served as an advisor to numerous early-stage, high growth companies regarding capital formation, business development and go-to-market strategies. He is currently the Director of Business Development and Growth Strategy for Blue Box Air, LLC., a clean-tech company in the world of HVAC. He works directly with the CEO/Founder to create and expand relationships with nationwide real estate portfolios, equipment manufacturers and large-scale service organizations. Jeremy also serves on the advisory board for Mobotory Technologies, an advanced machine learning claims management platform for the Commercial Insurance Industry. He was also previously a Vice-President and Treasurer for the NFL (Retired) Players Association Los Angeles Chapter.
After college, Jeremy signed as a free agent offensive lineman with the Atlanta Falcons and spent the 1997 season on their practice squad. Over the course of the next 4 years, he played a season in NFL Europe with the Rhein Fire and found out what it meant to be a journeyman in the NFL, while bouncing between the Cowboys, Raiders, Broncos and Rams. He finished his playing career as a starter and team captain for the Orlando Rage in the original XFL.
Jeremy lives with his wife, Angie Akers (ND ’98, Volleyball) in Redondo Beach, CA.
