Oscar McBride is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame du lac (Government ’94) where he was a four-year football letter winner. After playing in the NFL (Arizona Cardinals), Oscar received a master’s degree in Coaching, Athletic Administration and Exercise Science from Concordia University. Currently serving as a mentor of students and student-athletes at Murrieta Mesa High School in Murrieta, California, Oscar employs a staunch belief that anyone can lead because the fundamental principles of earning trust, forming relationships, and human empowerment are believed to be essential components in leadership development.
In 2019, Oscar launched McBride Consulting; his personal spin on mentorship and guidance including but not limited to leadership, leadership development, organizational
culture development and educational leadership. McBride Consulting mirrors Oscar’s passion for relationships and service in its purpose statement citing its programs were, “designed to awaken and empower the dynamic leadership potential in everyone… while concurrently underscoring the importance of relationship, service, and love.”
Oscar was a former instructing mentor for Launch Generation, a leadership development program for adolescents, a former adjunct professor of Sport Ethics at Concordia University-Irvine, holds membership with the National Diversity Council, National Positive Coaching Alliance, the National Federation of State High School Associations, the Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, the American Football Coaches Association, the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Orange County, the Notre Dame Monogram Club and the NFL Alumni Association.
