Dear Holtz’s Heroes Family,
Each year, Holtz’s Heroes Foundation honors a member of our community with the Brogan Award—a recognition named after Stephen Brogan, a 1977 graduate of Notre Dame Law School, a longtime friend of Coach Holtz, and a devoted supporter of our foundation.
The Brogan Award is given to an individual who exemplifies a deep commitment to doing what is right and uplifting those around them. Over the years, Stephen and the team at Jones Day have shown that spirit wholeheartedly, generously hosting events in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and soon, Miami, all in support of our mission. Their actions embody the “team before me” mentality that lies at the heart of Holtz’s Heroes.
As the world honors Pope Francis and reflects on the passing of a global leader who often reminded us that “we all have the duty to do good,” we are especially moved by a personal moment that connects our Holtz’s Heroes family to his legacy.
When Pope Francis visited the United States in 2015, he was greeted by Theresa Brogan, Stephen’s daughter. In a beautiful, unscripted moment, Theresa ran to him with open arms, and the Pope welcomed her with a joyful smile and an embrace.
Moments like this remind us of the power of love, compassion, and joy. May we continue to be inspired by Pope Francis and the Brogan family—to love unconditionally and to greet others with open hearts.

Food Drive
Thank you to Graham Family Hall for hosting the recent food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
The food drive was inspiring to reconnect with fellow teammates and witness the next generation of Domers rising to the occasion—demonstrating their commitment to being a force for good in the world.
