Dear Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to congratulate Tracy and Kerie Graham for their recent leadership gift to the University of Notre Dame. Their gift will be used to construct Graham Family Hall, a new men’s residence hall on the northeast side of campus.

Tracy’s journey from the tough streets of Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood to becoming a successful entrepreneur is nothing short of incredible, and it’s a testament to the power of belief, hard work, and the impact a small investment can make. When Tracy was a teenager, his mom gave him $20. This $20 changed his life. He used it to take an entrance exam to St. Rita High School which then brought him on a path to playing as a cornerback at Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, people continued to make small investments in him. Coach Lou Holtz instilled in Tracy a bright future beyond football. Tracy surrounded himself with teammates who supported and believed in him. These small acts of kindness and belief helped Tracy overcome tremendous odds, eventually leading him to create Graham Allen Partners, a thriving private equity firm.

Tracy’s story illustrates why it’s so important to be kind and supportive to those around us. You never know how a small gesture or a bit of encouragement can change someone’s life forever. Just as Tracy’s mom’s $20 investment set him on a path to success and allowed him to give back to his community years later, your contributions to those around you can make a profound difference.

It is on this note I want to thank my fellow teammates and brothers for being a force for good around the country. The men of Holtz’s Heroes have consistently shown up when called, whether it be supporting future players at the Joe Moore Football Camp, participating in the Irish Legends Golf Tournament, initiating food drives, or attending an event at our nation’s capital. Through your examples, you are raising a new generation of leaders.

Stay amazing and keep lifting others up wherever you go.

Love, Trust, Commitment
