Dear Holtz’s Heroes Family,

I hope 2024 is off to a great start for you and your family. I often reflect on my time at Notre Dame that included attending football practices, balancing academics, building a lifelong brotherhood with my teammates, and meeting my wife Christina. As a student-athlete, my days were packed from sunrise to sunset, and I rarely had time to myself to reflect on the lessons that Coach Holtz instilled. I didn’t know it at the time, but Coach Holtz was preparing our team for more than just victories on the gridiron. Over thirty years have passed since I played for the Fightin’ Irish and I still reflect daily on Coach Holtz’s three rules – “Do the right thing. Do the best you can. Always show people you care.”

These rules have provided the framework for me and my fellow teammates as husbands, brothers, fathers, business partners, and leaders of Holtz’s Heroes Foundation, Inc. Each day we are inspired by Coach Holtz and each other to be a force for good within our own families and communities. Holtz’s Heroes Foundation continues to address food insecurity, provide scholarships to students in need, and serve our teammates that have struggled with physical, mental, and financial hardships. Holtz’s Heroes has provided the support network to family members after the unexpected loss of a teammate. Our team has rallied together to help our teammates receive treatment for addiction. We have prayed alongside our brothers struggling with mental health. We will continue to do what’s right, do our best, and show others we care.

We invite you to join our team and donate to Holtz’s Heroes Foundation to continue to further our mission. No donation is too small.

Love, Trust, Commitment
