The first day Bryant Young stepped foot on the University of Notre Dame’s campus his greatness was apparent. He possessed a maturity beyond his years, a tremendous work ethic, an insatiable drive to be great, and an unwavering moral compass. The aforementioned attributes combined with his ever present humility laid the foundation for a football career that culminated with his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Most importantly Bryant’s greatness extends far beyond the playing field. He is a loving husband, a doting father, a loyal friend, and a selfless humanitarian. Through his actions he consistently makes those around him better. Bryant epitomizes the core values of the Coach Holtz Era: Love, Trust, Commitment.
